Internet Marketing Legacy

My internet marketing income has been steadily growing over the past year or so. I bought numerous ebooks and software packages along the way, and there seemed to be one recurring theme… Choose a niche, and stick with it.

I knew that was good advice. The problem was, my mind was spinning with dozens and dozens of niches that I believed had potential. The truth is, you can choose any niche and make money from it. Sure, some niches will be more profitable than others. Some niches will have more competition than others. Some will simply interest you more than others. But the bottom line is this… one niche is all you need to make money on the internet.

I learned this the hard way. When I first started experimenting with internet marketing, I chose a somewhat competitive niche, but was making money fairly quickly. Since most of the advice I had received said, “Rinse and repeat,” I decided to venture into another niche. I invested some time and energy into that second niche and soon began making money in that one as well. “Rinse and repeat” again. Third niche = third income stream.

But not long after the third niche was starting to gather momentum, I noticed my first and second niches were starting to fade a little. Suddenly, I found myself doing three times the work, and only seeing minimal results compared to what I was getting by focusing on the first niche alone.

Of course, I could have decided to outsource some of the work i was doing, but since I was still learning the business, I didn’t feel completely comfortable with that tactic yet.

Eventually, I learned how to work smarter, not harder, and refocused my efforts on my original niche. The amazing thing is, the more time I spend thinking about this original niche, the more money-making methods I think of… all in the same niche.

Obviously, other internet marketers will have a different view of niche marketing, but I wanted to share what has worked for me. And thankfully, it’s only getting better and better.

My advice… Choose a niche and stick with it. Eventually, you’ll figure out how to make money with it.
