Internet Marketing’s Most Important Tool
I’ve been reading and studying numerous internet marketing materials, visiting several internet marketing forums, and reading a couple marketing books. Obviously, I’m staying very busy since I’m doing this on top of a full-time job and keeping my wife and children happy.
If there is one thing I’ve learned from all of my studying and IM efforts, it’s this…
YOU HAVE TO DO SOMETHING! YOU are the most important tool in your internet marketing business, and if YOU don’t do something to make your business grow, it’s not going to grow. You can read every ebook and watch every video and visit every internet marketing forum in the world, but if you don’t DO SOMETHING, your IM business will be exactly where it is today.
One of my blogs is an experiment with generating adsense revenue. There are no other sources of income on that site. If I notice that my adsense income from that site is not increasing, there must be a reason. Am I still working on driving traffic? Am I still creating fresh content? How much attention have I given to SEO (Search Engine Optimization)? Do I need to DO SOMETHING about any of those things?
Another area I’m experimenting in is with Adwords. I have a steady stream of income each day from my adwords campaigns. I’m making way more than I’m spending, but am I satisfied with those results or do I want better results? Can I make my ads better? Should my landing pages be modified? Are there other keywords I should be using? Are there other campaigns which would perform better? Do I need to DO SOMETHING about my Adwords income?
I have a list of ideas with about 200 internet marketing techniques I could do today. I make it a goal to DO SOMETHING on that list every day. Some of those techniques are very basic. Others are complex and will take time to complete. If I work on at least one of those items every day, I can feel confident that my IM business is making progress because I’m utilizing the best tool my business has… ME!

Internet Marketing is the greatest business in the world. Where else can a guy with no money, no experience, and just a dream, go from zero to millions in a few short years.
I agree you have to keep at it, do something every day, stay focused on your goals, and eventually you will get there.
All The Best!
